So, are you ready for January to be over yet? 😅

If your 2026 plans already got muddied, or you're still not quite ready to come back to work… I think today's edition will be well worth the procrastination with some tool tips and hacks to get you back on track!

COMMUNITY BUSINESSES IRL:

Founders be founding…

These are the links I saved instead of clearing my inbox. Consider this your curated procrastination.

🌱 Red Bull said “touch grass”: First‑time founders and students are being summoned to the Red Bull Basement programme (yes, it’s real, no, it’s not a metaphor). If your “innovation strategy” is currently just panic + vibes, this is the kind of structured chaos that might actually help. They’re leaning hard into AI this year, which feels… ominous and useful. See what they’re actually funding (and who qualifies).

🤫 I’ve got a secret: There’s something stirring deep down in Notion land right now. Agents that wake up when you tag them? Suddenly the “I’ll do it later” pile is looking nervous. I’ve even switched off my usual calendar automations because I’m testing some new shiny features. → Poke around for 3 months free and tell me I’m wrong.

📇 Your CRM just moved into Notion: Cold outreach inside Notion is either the best idea since voice notes or the start of a new administrative dystopia. INnotion is trying to make “pipeline” feel less like a punishment, right where your brain already lives. If your follow‑ups are currently stored in “memory and guilt,” this might be your villain origin story (in a good way). → Go see how it works before you judge me.

🕸️ Notion‑to‑website glow‑up: If your site rebuild has been “coming soon” since 2023, same. Bullet is one of those startup products that makes you go, “Wait… why is this not the default?” Built by a Notion Ambassador, which means it’s got that extra I live in Notion energy. → Go have a nosy and pretend it’s ‘research’.

THE BUSINESS OF COMMUNITY

Stop being everywhere. Start being intentional.

Last year I learnt (the hard way) that “showing up more” isn’t a strategy. Being more targeted is.

For a long time, I treated visibility like a weird loyalty programme: collect enough platforms, post enough times, speak at 34 events a year and eventually the algorithm gods would hand over consistent client and member leads…. Right?

Instead, I got noise. And a business that felt like it was always delivering just deadlines and no relief.

But two people changed that for me: Gloria Chou and Kinsey Soderberg. And then (quietly, steadily) AI agents became the single most useful operational upgrade I made ever.

Heads-up: I’m promoting the Year of the Bot Bundle in this email (and yes, I’m in it). I’m sharing it upfront because it includes resources from Gloria + Kinsey that shifted my year — plus my Intro to Notion AI & Agents workshop so you can build your own Notion agents (the kind that actually make your week feel lighter).

Keep reading, to learn the shifts I made to focus my visibility, protect my voice, and get real support in the business without turning into a full-time content factory.

Fewer channels, braver showing up

Gloria helped me stop treating visibility like a numbers game and start treating it like a placement decision.

So for 2026, I’ve picked one focused growth channel (LinkedIn) and one owned channel (this newsletter), instead of trying to keep up with every platform.

Last year I was published in my first-ever magazine because I followed Gloria’s approach. And you won’t believe it but it was easy…

And this year, more opportunities have already started opening up.

The big shift wasn’t “do more”. It was “show up in rooms that make sense for the story I’m telling”.

Targeted visibility creates momentum. Scattered visibility creates… posts. Lots of posts and the need for the dreaded “content batching”. 🤮

If PR and targeted visibility is your move this year, go grab Gloria Chou’s “AI prompts to get PR for your business” inside the Year of the Bot Bundle. You don’t need “more posting”. You need the right rooms.

Consistency in voice and support

Kinsey showed me that AI works best when it supports my thinking and keeps my voice intact.

Instead of using AI like a copy-paste shortcut, I started training it intentionally so it sounds like me and helps me clarify what I already mean.

That changed everything. My writing stayed human. My ideas stayed mine. The process got lighter without turning generic.

The goal isn’t to sound “more polished”. The goal is to sound like me, with fewer unnecessary steps.

If you want a fast, sane way to nail your offers without spiralling, grab Kinsey Soderberg’s Automagical Offer Finder Bot inside the Year of the Bot Bundle.

AI Agents as support rather than replacement

If I could go back, I’d set up AI agents earlier.

Why? Because agents are the closest thing I’ve found to “support systems you can actually keep up with.” If you want to build your own, my Intro to Notion AI & Agents workshop is inside the Year of the Bot Bundle — it’ll walk you through creating agents in Notion for the stuff you keep putting off.

I now have agents helping with writing, planning, calendar management, admin, and PR. They do the kind of work that used to feel painfully slow for my neurodivergent brain.

Agents didn’t replace people in my solo business. They replaced friction. They replaced the “I’ll do it later” tasks that quietly steal hours and energy.

More support means more capacity for the work I actually love.

If I were building again, I’d do less — but I’d do it on purpose: one channel that compounds, one home base I own, a voice that stays mine, and support systems that don’t demand I become a different kind of founder to make the business work.

P.S. If you want the specific resources I mentioned — grab the Year of the Bot Bundle here. It closes on 15 Feb 2026.
